Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-10-17T08:36Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2024-10-17T08:36:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Source Location: N30E25
Note Keyword:
Faint: Faint event; may affect type assignment
FF: Event fails/disappears before exiting COR2
OVR: Event partially overlaps with another CME
Source Signature Keyword:
PEA: Post eruption arcade
FIL: Filament eruption
DIM: Dimming
Morphology Keyword:
L: Loop
Note: A loop like CME to the northeast following a narrower 2024-10-17T07:36Z CME. The source could be the filament eruption seen in SDO AIA imagery spanning from about N30E10 to N40E50. Movement and liftoff of the filamentary material can be seen in SDO AIA 304/171/193 and GOES SUVI 304/284 lasting from about 2024-10-17T06:00Z-07:30Z, so this may be the source of both CME:2024-10-17T07:36Z and CME:2024-10-17T08:36Z.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type |

Analysis based on the fit in two coronagraph and confirmed by the location of the source (the larger, central, part of the filament eruption). |
